Oblique aerial image: Aerial photograph captured at an angle, for example 45˚, the so-called bird’s-eye view.
Optical (image): Image taken in the visible and near-visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Orthophoto: A geometrically corrected image in which the scale is uniform at every point. The photo shows an accurate representation of the Earth’s surface, thanks to adjustments to topographic relief, lens distortion and camera movement.
Orthomosaic: Image composed of individual orthophotos carefully pieced together. Also known as orthophotomosaic.
